Three team trade:
Kevin Love to Cleveland
Thad, MCW, and Dion Waiters to Minnesota
Wiggins to Philly
Why it works:
Cleveland- Wiggins and Waiters for Love: absolute no brainer
Minnesota- Finally receives the amount of talent they think Love is worth:
1) They get their coveted veteran that Cleveland can’t provide in Thad in a sign-and-trade which ascertains his tenure with the team.
2) They finally give up on the failed three year Ricky Rubio project and go for the much more proven reigning Rookie of the Year in MCW.
3) They get Waiters, another up-and-comer who can be apprenticed by K Mart. They won’t be too concerned about a crowed backcourt even though they drafted Zach LaVine. Looks like a classic combo guard and considering he was a backup for UCLA in his only collegiate season, he’s far from a sure thing.
And that leaves us with Wiggins. Sure we’ll probably suck even more than last year but come on, WIGGINS! Imagine the freakishly tall and athletic core Hinkie has been drooling about: Embiid at the 5, Noel at the 4, Saric at the 3, Wiggins at the 2, and of course Wroten (6’6", 205 lbs) playing the 1.
