Even with who ever they add in this draft, there will still be major player, even star to add in the good 2015 draft. All the lottery teams this year should be significantly better than the 76ers next year. They all have more talent, more depth, and many were hampered by injuries all year. In all honesty the 76ers might be even worst next year. It will be a development, meaning starting a bunch of rookies. If you think about it Bucks getting the most NBA ready player in parker, their young talent developing, and getting healthy because they got struck by the injury bug hard will make them decently better. Celtics will be better with a healthy rondo and better development and some player additions, lakers will go big in FA and get better plus healthy kobe. The only bottom of the barrel teams I don't see getting better are the Jazz and magic. Now the jazz might lose hayward, however with a top pick and player development, I think they will be stagnate while the magic could trade affalo however with the addition of exum, a lot of influx of talent from the draft, and player improvement from harris, harkless, and oladipo could counter affalo's departure making for a stagnate year. Leaving philly as the top dog for #1 pick and master tank.
Don't be sadden, they said this was going to be a 4-5 year rebuild and two years of dominant losing. However it should be a more entertaining year filled with great highlight blocks and fast breaks. It will be well worth adding another potential star from the 2015 class. That is a class filled with big men, however the reason, I preach going after Noah Vonleh is I see no big in that class more engineered to be a perfect fit along Noel than Vonleh. He's the shot blocking, big stretch 4 who's a dominant rebounder, overall support player. Sounds perfect, doesn't it. The true prototypical modern day power forward. Now I could be wrong that there is a similar player in that class, but I don't see it. Plus you are not going to bring in 7 rookies into training camp, the 76ers will trading up for something.
However many of you preach of pairing smart or exum with MCW. What about a player who is just about a mix of those two players in EMMANUEL MUDIAY. Large, tall, long, hard nose defensively, better athlete than both, but a streaky jumper as well. Excellent slasher, willing passer and good rebounder rebounder as well, sounds like a perfect combination. Right now might have a higher ceiling than both smart and exum.
Now if the 76ers do win the lottery and have a shot at okafor, considering they have will have a fantastic front line already in Wiggins, Vonleh, and Noel, you could trade down, get Mudiay and get even more assets along with the ones they might get in salary dumps this year.
Savior the thought MCW Mudiay Wiggins Vonleh Noel and I can't imagine would hinkie manages to do to fill out the bench. It could only be a year away so don't be impatient. The 2014 draft is not end all, be all, just remember the 2015 draft is right around the corner.
