Okay, so recently I saw on twitter that my fellow college bound senior, and trusted source Jake Pavorsky responded to a tweet and basically stated that he had reason to believe the Sixers could go after RFA Gordon Hayward, and could see him being in our starting lineup next year.
Admittedly, I dont know too much about Hayward since I watched him miss that shot against Duke, although in my mind I imagine him being what James Anderson could be in a best case scenario. Athletic glue guy who can drop 18-23 given the right team. Now I was under the impression he could garner some serious interest on the open market from Celtics- type team, or a Cavs team who gets overexcited by trying to piece some players around a specific small forward.
But Jake had stated that his lineup for next season on a whim would be MCW/Hayward/Wiggins/Payne/Noel, and that seems like a relatively well built team. Hayward being the shooter that the team would sorely lack without him. Hopefully I didnt misread Jake, because I like the idea of that, even though Hayward is no star, its a solidly built team to grow together.
My questions are: What is Hayward going to be offered on the market, is he better than I am giving him credit for, is it worth the Sixers paying him said amount, what are the odds this happens, and if it did, would you be happy? *question barrage*
