Bulls/Sixers Blockbuster Trade

Sixers get: 16th & 19th pick in 2014 NBA draft, PF Carlos Boozer, SF Mike Dunleavy, SG Jimmy Butler

Bulls get: PF Thad Young, 32nd and 47th pick in 2014 NBA draft

Why the Sixers do it: Sixers obtain more assets in the first round of the deep 2014 draft along with possibly a future starter or 6th man Jimmy Butler. With the additional picks, Sixers can find a way to obtain SG Andrew Wiggins. All players the Sixers are receiving only have one year left on their current contract(Jimmy Butler on rookie contract). Sixers use their cap space to their advantage.

Why the Bulls do it: Bulls dump over $10.5 million worth of salary cap. Using the Warriors-Jazz deal from last year as a guide, this seems to be the going rate for a salary dump. Bulls also receive a starter in Thad Young that can play along Taj Gibson. The main reason though for the salary dump is to have enough cap space to be able to acquire Carmelo and possibly LeBron James.

Let me know if you think this is fair for both ends and if you are Sam Hinkie would you pull the trigger on this trade.
