First off, with the Knicks Mavericks trade we are off and running a day early. Decent trade for both sides, but it think the Knicks got the better of the deal unless the Mavs land Carmelo. But back to the SIXERS.
Unless somehow the top two picks miraculously go Parker Exum, Wiggins and Parker are both gone, and we take Exum.
And that means MCW is gone, likely with a second round sweetener to the Lakers for #7 and Nash's final year.
MCW and Thad is way too much, and we have other plans for Thad.
The SIXERS then take the best PF at 7,, and then the best SG available at 10.
Thad is also gone, for a pick in the early 20s. Book it.
The Bulls need to clear space to be in the Carmelo sweepstakes, and we are a good fit. Plus with Thad gone, it gives us a veteran presence ands some beef and scoring in the post. It especially makes sense if the forward we get at 7 is Gordon.
So we will have two more picks in the middle of the first round, but look for one of them to be swapped back out to get a first rounder in 2015, while the one we keep will be for a SF with some three point range.
And expect us to move some our remaining 2nd round picks from among 32, 39 and 47 to land another first round pick in 2015. The remaining 2nd rounders will go to find a backup PG for Exum, one who is a better shooter.
Anyway, that's how I see things playing out more or less...thoughts?
