MCW-Wiggins-McDermott-Gordon-Noel future ceiling? (plan B: Wiggins/McD/Payne and keep Thad.)

I've been crunching some scenarios based on what Hinkie can do if certain players fall. Say the Sixers somehow get Wiggins and Gordon (may cost some other assets)... then McDermott starts falling. So Hinkie strikes and deals Thad and/or 2nd's to draft McDermott. IMO this lineup works pretty well long term- especially regarding McD. You can hide McD on the weakest 2/3/4 and use Wiggins/Gordon for the more difficult covers. While McD gives much needed shooting/scoring especially as a trailer on the break.

I think this roster struggles for a couple of years but could be a contender in the end. Do you think this line-up can be a contender down the line?

Option #2- No Gordon, McD slips to #16 and you keep Thad, draft Payne #19

Given that Gordon might be gone at #10… keep Thad and trade #10 for #16/#19 and draft McD/Payne

MCW
Wiggins
McDermott
Thad/Payne
Noel

Probably a bit lower ceiling, but less pain (more Payne) during the first few years. This is an incredibly versatile lineup that can go big or small and can defend better when Thad is on the floor. I’d say this team is 50+ wins as soon as 2016. And you only need to add 2 players to fill out your rotation, which is amazing given their cap situation.
