LB, I need your help!
On Wednesday, our fearless leader of leaders Josh Harris is being honored at a fancy shindig put on by the Legal Aid Society of New York. I've been invited to go by my summer employer, and in my dreams I see Josh and I meeting and talking and discussing Sam Hinkie's brilliance and laughing at Doug Collins and Harris giving me an eXXXclusive peak inside the Sixers' draft war room.
I ask ye wise LB commentariat: should I attend? A quick rundown of the pros and cons as I see them:
- The tickets are stupidly expensive (though it is for a good cause), and I'm still a student who really can't afford it.
- Fanboying the man of honor at a black-tie dinner surrounded by my summer employer probably isn't the best thing for my career.
- The likelihood of me, a random face in a crowd of legal bigwigs, actually getting to speak to Harris is about as likely as the Cavs drafting someone stupi--wait, bad example. Let's just say it's ridiculously unlikely.
- It's Josh Harris! The guy who brought in Hinkie and Brett Brown and signed off on our quest away from mediocrity! Josh Harris, you guys!
... I think I know what you all will say. But, your thoughts?
