For Okafor Watch

Last year's Wiggins Watch was fun, but with a new year, new prospect, another year of tanking it's time for something new. I thought I'd provide you guys some updates on some of the top prospects after seeing the amount of comments in the Okafor fanpost. So in honor of Okafor and the fact we are winless, the 0 For Okafor Watch has begun. These rankings are my personal big board of the Top 30 guys available

.Jahlil Okafor, Duke-Averaging 15.8/8 with 1.8 assists. Shooting 60% from the field but just 54% from the line. Great passer and big time offensive rebounder. Looking dominant and sounds like he's #1 on every team's board that Chad Ford talked to. Has scored 10+ in all five games despite lots of double and even some triple teams against teams like Stanford, Temple, Michigan State.

.Emmanuel Mudiay, China-Averaging 18.9/6.6 with 6.3 APG. Shooting 49% and 32% from 3. Very solid stats and scouting reports coming out on him from China. He hurt his ankle today in a play that looked bad, but the initial report is just a sprain.

.Karl Towns, Kentucky-In the Wildcats first four games he's playing just 18.3 MPG due to loaded frontcourt. Averaging 6.0/6.3 with 1.5 assists and 3 blocks a game. Only shooting 36% from the field. Up and down so far, but looks like a two way impact player though he may be the most raw out of the guys in my top four. Still a potential superstar.

.Justice Winslow, Duke-Impressive two way play. Averaging 15.4/5.8 with 2.2 assists. Being compared a lot to Michael Kidd-Gilchrist by some analysts, but he's already made nearly as many 3's as MKG did as a freshman in only five games so far as he's hit 7 at 39%. Iguodala is another comp I've seen from an analyst, but also a better shooter than Iggy as a freshman. Hasn't scored less than 14 points in his first five games, impressive considering the talent at Duke.

.Kristaps Porzingis, Latvia-Averaging 9.4/4.9 with 1.4 blocks in just 21.7 MPG. Shooting 44% overall, 44% from 3 while attempting 2.1 3's per game, and 77% from the line. Solid advanced stats as well. Scouting reports are super high on him.

.Kevon Looney, UCLA-The 6'10 freshman wing is under the radar with some, but he's averaging 16.3/12.3 with 2.7 assists and 1.3 blocks. Shooting 52% from the field, but just 1-4 from 3 in 3 games. Getting to the line at a crazy rate, including 28 times in his first 2 games though just once in an easy win over Nicholls State.

.Stanley Johnson, Arizona-Averaging 11.7/5.7, but just 1 block and 1 steal and 2-10 shooting from 3. Also just 5-16 shooting overall outside one efficient game against CSU Northridge. He's been a little disappointing, but it's still early.

.Myles Turner, Texas-Averaging 8.8/6.3 with 2.5 blocks through 4 games while shooting 54%. He had two big games against cupcakes to start, but he's been more limited against Iowa and Cal. Up and down but that was to be expected with him this early on.

.Kelly Oubre, Kansas-Averaging 3/3 in two games. Played just 4 minutes in the opener due to questions about his defensive effort. Did get 13 minutes against Kentucky and finished with 6/4 while hitting his only shot from deep. Stock down so far, but way too early to write him off.

.Cliff Alexander, Kansas-Averaging 8.5/6 in two games, playing just 16 minutes a game off the bench and being brought along slowly. In the preseason it was said to be a guy expected to start slow due to low hoops IQ, but could still end up being an all conference type.

.Montrezl Harrell, Louisville-Averaging 19/7.3 through 3 games. Scored 30/7 against Minnesota while hitting 3-4 from 3, but 0-5 from deep since. Scoring has been less since that game, but his minutes took a hit in the following two games as the Cardinals have coasted. Looks to be emerging the way he didn't last year.

.Bobby Portis, Arkansas-Averaging 16/5.7 with 1.7 blocks. He is 4-5 from 3 on the year. Up and down year as his weakest performance was against his best opponent(Wake Forest), but as a 6'11 athletic forward he belongs here right now.

.Terry Rozier, Louisville-Averaging 16/5 with 2.7 assists and 2 steals through 3 games. Really seems to have taken a huge step forward as a sophomore after an impressive summer.

.Caris LeVert, Michigan-Averaging 15.7/7.7 and 6 assists through 3 games. Also hitting 42% from 3. Seems to have seen his overall game grow even more since last year.

.Chris Walker, Florida-Had 4/6 in his only game after a two game suspension. Too early to comment.

.Mario Heronja, Croatia- Only playing 8.7 minutes a game through 9 games so his stats are pretty much meaningless. Big ceiling but questions about attitude and stalled development. Some like him for his shooting, but he hasn't made a 3 yet this year(0-6 from there).

.Trey Lyles, Kentucky-Averaging 9.5/3.5 in 17 minutes per game. Not as athletic as most others this high, but very skilled especially on offense and 6'10. The second best prospect on Kentucky.

.Justin Jackson, North Carolina-Tall, skinny freshman wing is a skilled player who would be much higher if he was more athletic. Averaging 13.3/2.7 with 3.3 assists while shooting 63%, though just 1-6 from deep so far.

.RJ Hunter, Georgia State-The junior SG is the son of a coach and former NBA player. Averaging 21.3/3.7 with 5 assists and 2.7 steals through 3 games. Hitting 41% from deep while launching 10 shots a game from deep. Scored 21 but struggled a bit against Iowa State, but played a much better overall game against a solid Colorado State squad.

.Frank Kaminsky, Wisconsin-The 7' senior is averaging 19.3/10.3 with 2.8 assists, 2.8 blocks, and 1.3 steals through 4 games. Shooting 63% overall and 44% from 3. Every single stat is up from last year with the exception of his free throw shooting.

.Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Arizona-Averaging 16/6 so far as he appears to be more aggressive and is getting to the line at almost double the rate. Still hasn't shown anything in terms of shooting from deep, but his stock is still solid.

.Willie Cauley-Stein, Kentucky-Averaging 9.3/6.8 with 1.8 blocks and 1.5 steals. Excellent athletic defensive presence but the offense still hasn't taken a jump forward yet in his third year at Kentucky.

.Chris McCullough, Syracuse-He's been called the most skilled PF at Cuse since Derrick Coleman. The freshman is averaging 15.3/7.8 with 3 blocks and 1.77 steals through 4 games.20/9 with 3 blocks against Iowa and 12/7 with 5 blocks against Cal, so he's not just beating up on weak opponents. Was always highly regarded but questions about potential rawness and motor in high school are being answered.

.D'Angelo Russell, Ohio State-Averaging 11/3 with 5 assists through two games. Looked great against UMass Lowell, but struggled bad against Marquette as he wasn't shooting much and turned it over 7 times. He needs to show better ball handling to go in the lottery, because the hope is that he can be an NBA combo guard.

.Tyus Jones, Duke-Averaging 9.2 PPG and 5 APG with just 1 TO. True PG, excellent distributor, doesn't turn the ball over, not a big time athlete, and while not a big scorer he is more than capable. That's why he is the closest thing to Tyler Ennis this year. Biggest concern is the fact he's shooting 42% from the field and it drops to 30% if you take out his strong opening game against Presbyterian.

.Zak Irvin, Michigan-Averaging 20.7/3 through 3 games. The big sophomore guard is shooting 54% overall and an amazing 11-21 from 3. Really took a jump forward so far this year and will shoot up these rankings if the production stays at this level over a longer period and against better competition.

.Norman Powell, UCLA-Senior SG has seen his production grow so far this year after it took a jump forward last year as well. Averaging 20.3/4.3 and is 7-14 from deep. Being an older player hurts him, but his 4 year PPG has gone from 4.6, 6.1, 11.4,, to 20.3 while playing 17.8-25.7 minutes in each of the four years. That at least leaves some hope for untapped potential despite his age.

.Sam Dekker, Wisconsin-Athletic junior wing had a breakout performance this summer at LeBron's camp. Averaging 14/3.8 so far. Shooting an impressive 57%, but just 3-12 from deep. His shot is the only question about his game, but otherwise he could be a lottery guy.

.Domantas Sabonis, Gonzaga-The son of Arvydas has quietly been starring for the Zags. Averaging 14.0/7.5 in ONLY 19.5 MPG through 4 games since the Zags have Wiltjer and Karnowski. Sabonis is hitting an amazing 76% of his shots from the field. Averaged 11.5/10 on 75% shooting in his two games against quality competition(St. Joe's and SMU).

.Amida Brimah, UConn-The 7' sophomore has built on his tournament performance from March. Through 3 games he's averaging 10.7/4.0 with 3.7 blocks and shooting 65%. Had 14/4 against College of Charleston and their solid big man Adjhe Baru.

Just missing Delon Wright, Rashad Vaughn, Buddy Hield, Jarell Martin, EC Matthews, Aaron Harrison, Wayne Selden, Anthony Cat Barber, Isaiah Taylor, Terran Petteway, Damian Jones, Marc Garcia(international), Ilimane Diop(international)
