The only players the Sixers fans should be expecting them to sign this summer are UDFA and low-cost veterans. This is because Sam Hinkie will likely be looking to preserve cap space for the future with flexibility in mind. While that may not result in an exciting and captivating free agency, it's what's for the best - now, and in the future.
I conducted a Free Agency Guide for Hoop76 here, and I chose five players -- an assortment of veterans and UDFA -- that the Sixers should be zeroing in on in Free Agency.
It was originally an Offseason Guide in which I also suggested three trades. Two of the three trades involved Eric Bledsoe and Jared Dudley, separately, and they were both dealt to the Clippers yesterday. My third suggestion was Spencer Hawes to San Antonio for Matt Bonner and a second-round pick.
Now all I can think about is Spencer Hawes in a Gregg Popovich offense. Dammit.
