Sixers center Kwame Brown exercised activated picked up his dribble $2.95 million player option for the 2013-14 season. This news, which was a pretty easily-anticipated move for a player who probably wasn't going to get anything more than the veteran's minimum anywhere else, means that the far end of the Sixers' bench is in do danger of floating up toward the ceiling like a dirigible anytime soon. And oh my God I still need to write 64 more words in order for this thing to post.
I know the Sixers are in full-on tank mode, but $2.95 million is MORE THAN TWICE THE VETERANS' MINIMUM. And while the best thing for Kwame to do at this point is to just stand around menacingly in eternal isolation, like the Armus of the NBA, the Sixers' would-be center, Nerlens Noel, has a bum knee and isn't going to play until Christmas (or, if Andrew Bynum is any indication, ever), so there's, like, an actual danger of him killing Tasha Yar getting in a game.
Hinkie.
