Hey everybody. First off I'd like to appoligize if the topic of this post is a little misleading. This wont be an in-depth post about the (perceived) value of Jrue Holiday. Rather it is about a particular trade scenario that I feel is likely to help our team out significantly, but would involve Jrue (and Thad). So the reason I'm posting this is to find out how others around LB see Holidays value compared to the players I'm looking for, and how you guys feel abt this trade scenario that I'm proposing.
Apparently the Jazz are looking hard for their future PG and have talented bigs at their disposal:
Philadelphia 76ers trade:
- Jrue Holiday
- Thad Young
- Pick 35 and/or Pick 42
Utah Jazz (sign and) trade:
- Derrick Favors
- Enes Kanter/Paul Millsap
- Pick 14 and/or Pick 21
I really like this trade for a couple of reasons. First and foremost: Tank for Wiggins, lol. Secondly, quality bigs with upside who are actually healthy are hard to come by (yeah, we know all about it right?). Thirdly, there's a couple of interesting PG prospects available in this Draft that would definitely need a lot of work, but could develop into special players (think Dennis Schroeder here). And last, but not least we would add additional assets through the picks involved that could be turned into better assets (and/or might be involved in any potential Turner/Hawes deals).
So there it is. What's your oppinion on this, people? Am I selling Jrue short? How likely are the Jazz to be interested in this kind of trade. Should we be looking to involve Turner to get back either Burcs or Hayward? I really believe this is a very interesting scenario that I'm drawing up here, so let me know what you guys think.
P.S.: I'm especially interested in the oppinion of one future Hall of Fame GM Michael Levin. Hallo back yo (lol).
