Sixers vs. Pacers Final Score: Great Effort But No Cigar Immediate Reaction Thread

Pat Lovell-USA TODAY Sports

It looked like the Sixers might leave Indiana tonight with a second straight win, but that wasn't the case. The Pacers were the ones who escaped with the victory on Saturday night. The final score was 106-98.

The Sixers played tough despite missing three significant players. Tony Wroten and Spencer Hawes sat out the game due to injury. Thad Young isn't currently with the team due to a personal family issue. That meant the Sixers only dressed nine men to play: five starters and four guys off the bench. You have to give the Sixers credit. They're really playing hard out there. Brett Brown has these guys motivated and ready to play.

As for the game itself: perfect result. The Sixers play hard and kept it close until the end, but ultimately walk out with the loss.

The Pacers were paced (ha) by big man Roy Hibbert (27 pts, 13 rebs, 6 blocks) and Paul George (19 points).

Michael Carter-Williams poured in career high 29 points (on 21 shots) along with 7 steals, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. Evan Turner scored 21 but it took 26 shots to get there.

Full recap to come later.
