Star centers are difficult to find. The Sixers haven’t had one — at least on the offensive end — since Moses Malone from 1982-86.
The 7-foot, 300-pound Bynum is only 25 years old. He should be in the prime of his career.
But Bynum will most likely end up playing 30 or fewer games this season. There is no guarantee the knees, which he has said don’t have a lot of cartilage, will hold up over the next five years.
What should the Sixers do in that scenario?
