76ers Sunday Morning Shootaround: The WAGS Edition

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

Apologies for the lack of social media updates this week, but we did what we could with what we had. To help soften the blow, we included a picture of Kate Upton for your enjoyment.

This has been a VERY light week in the Sixers' SocialMediaverse. To be honest, the highlight of the past seven days was Michael Levin's stint on the @SBNationNBA Twitter handle this past Friday.

His best tweet is below. Fittingly, it was also his last tweet:

In an unrelated story, Vox Media announced on Saturday that it has lost all of its VC funding.

Dorell Wright threw his son a birthday party last week, and Nick Young took some time out to swing through. The Sixers haven't had much luck when it comes to bowling alleys last season, and if the scores are any indication, Swaggy P is a much better dresser than he is a bowler.

For what it's worth, here are Nick Young's stat lines ever since he got his PDW on down at Lucky Strikes:

2/26 (vs. ORL): 1-for-6, 3 points
2/28 (@ CHI): 1-for-6, 3 points
3/2 (vs. GSW): DNP (sprained ankle)

I'm not saying.... I'm just saying.

Lavoy Allen spent his time on the Sixers' flight home from Chicago enjoying the pleasures of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. From his comments, it appears that Chef Voyardee isn't a member of #TeamUpton, and while the debate over the SI cover model is rapidly reaching Kobe/LeBron levels, that's another issue for another day.

A vendor at the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport thought that the Kate Upton photo was a bit too risque, so they decided to cover up the mag on the newsstands. Of course, this move did nothing but increase the interest of those who passed by, and the vendor probably sold way more copies than they would have under regular circumstances. Don't try to fool us with your subtle marketing ploys - we can see right through your ruse.

Props to the Sixers for commissioning a bobblehead that actually bears a resemblance to the subject. Even if you were to take off the identifying features, this is clearly a representation of Wilt Chamberlain. The GOAT player has one of the GOAT bobbleheads - great job by all involved.

This shouldn't be amazing, but it is given the ridiculousness of the Roy Halladay bobblehead that the Phillies handed out a few years back. For starters, it looks NOTHING like him. Secondly, the doll is throwing with the wrong hand, and the pitching motion is completely backwards.

And of course, we can't forget the Steve Nash bobblehead which will kill you in your sleep.
