Somebody called out, “Dwight Who?” as Bynum greeted his flock after the formal part of the news conference and threw some autographed sneakers into the pack of seemingly ravenous wolves.

A woman yelled, “Love you,” to which he replied, “Thank you.” The fans ate it up.

They were so jazzed that team president Rod Thorn received a nice ovation, which wouldn't have been the case a week ago.

Virtually every answer from Bynum — from how he was “super-excited” to be traded here last Friday to how “the sky is the limit for us” — was met with cheers.
