st observation: the 76ers first move should have had a plan to replace rod thorn with a real front office. They look like a franchise without real leadership and vision. Tough to change a culture when it looks like the various leadership pieces want the gm status but don't have it. Kind of feels like a bunch of moves got made without any one person truly being accountable for them. "hey, don't blame me, I'm not the gm, I just tried to do my best to fill out the team and not hamstring us with bad contracts until we get a real gm".
nd observation: (prediction) ET and J'rue will switch positions during the season. Turners going to shine as our pg when he gets min at that position. J'rue's shot is going to improve greatly and the two will be too valuable together not to be on the floor together. Their confidence appear more, the more they appear in their new roles which will make the switch a slam dunk with the team and fans.
rd observation: (prediction) doughy (love that nickname) will not like starting kwame brown and he will be used primarily off the bench with hawes and thad starting until Hawes goes out with another injury. At that point our marginally competitive team with improving young players free falls due to our thin and inadequate front court.
th observation: (prediction) 76ers will trade Andre Iguodala to a contender at the deadline for front court help. We will be bleeding losses due to a weak and injured front court and Dre will be dealt to a mid-level contender who can return a young asset or two to a struggling and rebuilding 76er team.
I reserve the right to add more of these and welcome all of your predictions as well!
