Darryl Finesse Watkins Sixers career was short-lived. According to Sam Amick, the big man acquired in the Dorell Wright trade was waved today.
Although Wakins never actually suited up for the Sixers, he made a profound impact on the organization. His Finesse will live on forever, both in our hearts, and on my wall, because I'm hanging up my custom jersey tonight – right next to my Lou Williams shirsey.
Speaking of the profound impact Darryl "Mookie" Finesse Watkins made on the organization, I had an e-mail exchange with Rod Thorn earlier, regarding Finesse's Sixer career. Here's how it went:
Me: Is it true you guys decided to cut Darryl Watkins?
Rod: Signs point to yes.
Me: Why did you guys trade for him in the first place?
Rod: Reply hazy, try again.
Me: Do you have any idea what the Sixers are doing this off-season?
Rod: My sources say no. *puts down Magic 8 Ball*
