Here is what we know:
-Deron wants Dwight to join him in Brooklyn, but Dwight signed a one-year extension and the Nets don't have the trade assets to entice Orlando.
-Deron could sign with his hometown Mavs, but Dirk is 34 and doesn't play defense and the Mavs don't have the financial flexibility to improve.
-The only way to unite Deron+Dwight would be on a team with enough cap space to sign Deron and enough tradeable assets to acquire Dwight.
-The best part is: not only could the Sixers pull this off, but they wouldn't be surrounding Deron+Dwight with a bunch of scrubs.
1) Amnesty Brand
2) Let Hawes/Lou walk
3) Sign Deron to a max deal
4) Trade for Dwight (Iggy+Jrue? Jrue+Turner+picks? Iggy+Turner+picks? Iggy+Thad+picks? Turner+Thad+Vucevic+picks?)
However the trade shakes out, the Sixers wouldn't be gutting their roster to land Dwight. If the trade was Iggy+Jrue, the lineup would be Deron/Pick(Ross?)/Turner/Thad/Dwight (with Lavoy/Jodie/Vucevic on the bench). If the trade was Jrue+Turner+picks, the lineup would be Deron/Jodie/Iggy/Thad/Dwight (same bench). But the real dream scenario is if Orlando wants Lou. We then sign/trade Lou to Orlando along with, say, Turner and Thad, and the lineup is Deron/Jrue/Iggy/Lavoy/Dwight. That is a lineup, my friends. That. Is. A. Lineup.
