“We thought, with his athletic ability, it was too good a player to pass up,” team president Rod Thorn said of Harkless. “He fits in well with what we have. His upside is tremendous.”
In Harkless and Moultrie, Thorn believes the Sixers "added two significant assets to our team. They're two players who could be very good for us."
The Sixers had plenty of discussions about trades involving current players, according to Thorn, but nothing came to fruition.
