For the Sixers, the question is: Should they grab Jones if he’s still on the board? The potential reward for a talent like Jones is high, but the risk is also greater than it would be on some of the other candidates.

The Sixers, who need a big man, interviewed Jones at the Chicago predraft camp and again Saturday. They’re doing their homework to allow them to make the best decision.

“He’s an intelligent young man,” Sixers’ director of player personnel Courtney Witte said. “You look at a lot of variables. You weigh things very heavily, but you take your time. That’s what we’re going to do over the next four or five days.”
