Should Sixers wait to spend until 2013 free-agent class?

Here is a portion of the column:

The Sixers could make a run at a scorer, such as Hornets’ restricted free agent Eric Gordon, and trade Andre Iguodala for the best available big man (the LakersPau Gasol? But he'll be 32 on July 6).

There is another option if that scenario doesn’t pan out.

With a better crop of free agents in 2013 — led by Dwight Howard (who probably won’t consider the Sixers) and fellow big men Andrew Bynum of the Lakers, the HawksJosh Smith and the Jazz’s Paul Millsap — perhaps waiting a year for a top-drawer power forward/center would be a more beneficial course of action.
