Here is a portion of the Friday morning blog:

While veteran Elton Brand said the team is filled with "optimism," he immediately offered that "we have to win these two games and protect our home court to make it mean something. If we lose a game at home, then it's even."

Despite being without injured 2010-11 NBA MVP Derrick Rose, the defensive-minded Bulls should be a challenge.

Chicago only lost two games in a row once during the 66-game regular season. And it had the league's best road record of 24-9.

The Sixers will have the home fans behind them for Games 3 and 4, but they're going to have to rebound and defend like they did Tuesday in order to overcome the Bulls.
