The NBA fined the 76ers' coach $15,000 "for verbal abuse of an official at the conclusion of" Saturday night's 109-106 overtime win over the Pacers in Indianapolis.
"I didn't leave the court in a timely fashion and I should've been fined," Collins said prior to Monday's game against the Nets at the Prudential Center. "The league did what they should've done and I apologized."
Collins appeared to be cursing after winning what he called "an emotional game." He said his reaction "was sort of a build-up over a few things — it wasn't one thing."
