Here is a portion of the story:
Road victories over the Nets and Raptors on Tuesday and Wednesday allowed the 31-27 Sixers to move up from eighth place to seventh in the Eastern Conference. They are one game ahead of the No. 8 Knicks, who own the head-to-head tiebreaker, and have increased their lead on the No. 9 Bucks to three games with eight to play.
"We really needed them," rookie center Nikola Vucevic said of the two victories. "We had a tough stretch, losing four in a row, and got down in the standings."
