Here is a portion of the story in Monday's paper:
Sixers senior vice president of basketball operations Tony DiLeo, who watched Allen play in person at Temple 30 times over the previous two seasons (son T.J. is a junior guard for the Owls), said all of the Sixers’ scouts liked Allen because he’s “a winning and effective player.”
“I wasn’t sure he would get this opportunity so soon, but I always thought he would play in the NBA the same way he played in college,” DiLeo said. “He’s a good defender, good rebounder, unselfish, smart and can score on occasion.”
