This is what victory is all about… :)
I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, there will be no trade for Monta!
( Shrugs )
At least NBA.com liked our win tonight.
“Sixers dump slumping Magic – Philadelphia cruises to 74-69 win over listless Magic, who have now lost four in a row.”
Ah, the good old "Magic Lose" instead of "Sixers Win"
It’s stuff like this that makes me hate ESPN/national media.
Winging It In Motown, Over the Monster, Liberty Ballers, and Buffalo Rumblings!
yea that is really annoying. Whatever, as long as we keep winning that recognition will eventually come.

yep, mila kunis.

Oh god.
Natalie Portman. Mila Kunis. In the same thread….

This + bacon & BK onions rings on a McRibb. I’d love to spread some BBQ sauce all over that….oooops, this is a family site.

Doug Collins and Evan Turner were pissed at each other! Didn’t look like they were enjoying the win.
Don’t worry, ET will be a DNP Wed night. Dougie don’t play.

I hope you guys don't mind if I post a picture of a hot dude

I always felt really bad for T HIll when people would say how scary/ugly he was. He seems like a really nice guy that worked hard and played team basketball.
Plus rap punchlines like “the game’s getting uglier than Tyrone Hill” didn’t help things.

Plus getting bitch slapped by Charles Oakley for not paying his gambling debts and AI siding with Oakley doesn’t help the street cred.

Gotta say, this is the magic, so quit bitchin’ about this being a “semi-quality” win… team was 12-8, and the sixers beat them handly, score was way closer then the actual game. Defense ruled and superman was shutdown (for the most part).
All-star Jameer Nelson didnt play.

Not to be more of a Devil's advocate...
But they’ve been playing pretty terribad on this stretch and can hardly buy points.

It was. Sixers were doing their best “pin the tail on the donkey” impression at the free throw line.

Oh come on, stop with the negitivity. The game wasn’t close, the magic didn’t have a lead since the second quarter? … and were down by 19 until about 2 and a half left in the game. The fact that there reserves got it close is meaningless.
I think he was asking because he didn’t see the game.

Just looked at the box score – Jrue and Lou had a terrible shooting night.

where was Jrue
Was this his worst game yet this season? Did he leave in the 4th to go try McBites?

definitely a quality win
but they better get there offensive “s***” together if they want to make this upcoming stretch a success. The bulls, clippers and heat will eat them alive if they don’t.
Defense was soo sexy tonight however no homo
Attendance was 16,299.

Foul Shooting in close games/playoffs
We’re definitely going to lose a critical playoff game or close game when teams start learning the “Hack-an-Iggy” strategy. Magic showed the blueprint.
Dwight Howard FTs: 5-13 (38.4%)
Iguodala FTs: 3-9 (33.3%)
Dre’s free throw shooting has been horrible this year. Under 70% is completely unacceptable. But tonight was the extreme, not the norm. My favorite thing about Dre (other than D) is his ability to draw fouls. so hacking him is fine with me. That being said, how does that air ball happen? Please tell me the ball hit a bird or something.

I mean I know that we’re starless and stuff, but I’m curious as to when we’ll get any credit for anything.

I say this in response to watching Sportscenter and the game being more about the Magic loss than a Sixers win.

magic have howard. He’s a superstar.
sixers aren’t actually good because they haven’t beat anyone good yet, so they don’t get reported on. Pacers and Denver, however…

Don't want national credit
Look at the wonders this did for the Eagles. Let’s stay under the radar until playoff time. As we saw in tonight’s win, this 76ers team sometimes likes to smell themselves at the end of wins, especially because there have been so many blowouts.
The last thing we need is appearances on ESPN with Screamin A Smith or any of those losers to fill their head with nonsense.

Agree with PhillyWarrior
We don’t need the hype. I’d rather have this team continue to pile up wins under the radar, because they’re a young group of guys and we don’t want their success to go to their heads.
As far as I’m concerned, they can play through the NBA Finals and if the national media’s take is that the Lakers/Thunder/etc. lost the championship rather than the Sixers winning it, I’ll be happy.
Doug Collins is doing his best to not let it go to anyone’s head. Did you see after the game, Evan Turner was in mid-celebration when Dougie Fresh verbally slapped him down to size. I guess this is why they say Doug sometimes rides his players till they implode. But honestly, I have no problem with this. Turner is young. Refuse to allow him to get complacent and he’ll be a better player because of it. He may through a towel in the tunnel, but he’ll stew over it, learn, and come out gang-busters when the Bulls come to town.
Elton Brand
He played a great game tonight, in all the ways that don’t show up on the scoreboard. He was hustling like a madman and his interior defense on Howard was tremendous as he frustrated the hell out of him and forced him into one bad shot after another with good positioning and anticipation. He’s a consummate professional and exactly the right kind of veteran leader for a young team like this (his attitude seems to be rubbing off on guys like Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen), so while he may not put up the statline of a typical max guy on a nightly basis I want to reiterate I’m glad we didn’t amnesty him before the season. You win with guys playing the way he did tonight – not with Carmelo scoring 30 points but taking 28 shots to do it.

Agree 100%. 4 blocks tonight and tremendous hustle. Just because the blocks aren’t the JaVale McGee Sportscenter highlight blocks doesn’t mean they don’t count. Brand isn’t quite back to where he was last year, but he’s getting there.
I’m very proud of our team, I just love to nitpick guys who I don’t like. Sorry Iggy.
were you responding to somebody in particular?

Nice win, I missed the 1st Q and most of the second (I came into WFC when it was 35-31) but that defensive effort was incredibly. its sad the magic played the foul game for so long while making a few not really contested threes to make it look respectable, because 69 points isn’t indicative of the Sixers defense tonight. Playing without Hawes of Vucevic against Dwight Howard, they destroyed the Magic tonight. They completely disrupted their offense, kept Howard from beating them, and shut down everyone but Ryan Anderson in garbage time. This is a quality win and I’m willing to raise my hopes to “competitive in a second round series”
I’m with you. I’ve gone from my preseason prediction of winning Altantic and losing 2nd round series in 5 to my new prediction of losing 2nd round series in 6.5. After the next few games, it’ll either be loss in 6, loss in 7, or win in 7.
