"It's just the way the season is going," Andre Iguodala said after Wednesday's 97-90 home overtime loss to the Nets. "We aren't the only team with injuries. You just have to be ready to plug in."

But with veteran Tony Battie ineffective against New Jersey, Elton Brand in foul trouble and rookie Lavoy Allen still learning, Collins opted to play five guys 6-foot-7 or shorter for much of the fourth quarter and overtime.

"There's no substitute for size," Collins said.
