Mortal Enemies: NetsDaily

Injury Report: Spencer Hawes aka Wight Howard aka Beers, America, and Shotguns is officially out again tonight. Rookie Nikola Vucevic will dress in a nice suit alongside Hawes as he too will be held out of tonight's game.

On the New Jersey side of the table, MarShon Brooks is a gametime decision but is allegedly participating in shootaround, causing me to assume he'll be a go for tonight. Brook Lopez is still out nursing a foot injury.

Update: MarShon Brooks will not play tonight.

Vegas has set the spread at Sixers (-11.5). With the way the Sixers have been taking care of lesser opponents all year, there's no reason to think they won't do it again tonight. Although it's a lot of points, I like the Sixers to take advantage of the league's worst defensive team.

Hova's movin' the Nets, BK. BALL SO HARD!

If you bet on the Sixers, and they win by 11 points or less, you lose. If they win by 12 points or more, you win. And if the Sixers lose, you lose.

Conversely, if you bet on the Nets, and the Sixers win by 12, you lose the bet. But if you bet on the Nets and the Sixers win by 11, you win the bet. And if the Nets win, you win.

didn’t need a three there – i’m always a fan of getting a quick two and then a foul in that situation

What is Collins coaching during OT?

It pisses me off when the team has to SOLELY rely on Lou Williams finding a shot. Our offense completely shut down in over time. Seriously no flow whatsoever, no game plan, just give the ball to Lou Williams and let him find a shot. It’s essentially a 0-0 game.

Doug Collins, you confuse me.

Big part of problem is we don’t have a reliable 1/2 court offense which is why we’re fun to watch and might even win a round in the playoffs but ultimately lack of size (even with Hawes and Vuc) and 1/2 court offense will catch up against elite teams that shut the transition game down

Such an ugly game and I actually put some blame on Lou Williams though not necessarily his fault.

If they play 5 straight overtime games, they wouldn’t change a thing

Why is it impossible for us to win overtime games? and Why can’t Doug come up with a play besides giving the ball to Lou. Frustrating.

Well you can’t win all of the games, even against bad teams. These types of games are bound to happen.

Just the nature of the loss. I didn’t mind that we lost especially since Deron was unstoppable, it’s the angering fact that the “team” devolved to 0 passing and 1-2 guys dribbling the ball around.

Blown call

There should’ve been a 5 second call against the Nets with 1:18 left when Philly led 90-88. Farmar inbounded it after about 5.7 seconds.

Very disappointing loss. One of their worst offensive games all season long. I can accept that they aren’t the greatest team in the league but tonight they were flat, they need to play with some heart. They didn’t have a problem beating up on other inferior teams.

Deron showed why he’s so valuable. He single-handedly got that W for NJ. With all of our draft picks at the guard spot, none of them are good defenders.
