Dre Taking a Shot At Iverson?

In the middle of 2032 GOP Presidential nominee Spencer Hawes' live tweeting of the State of the Union Address, Dre tweeted him,

"@spencerhawes00 dear mr president, I understand the struggles of trying to clean up the leader b4 you."

The first part is obviously taking a shot at former President Bush, but the second seems to be referencing Andre being forced to inherit a mediocre Sixers team and be the face of the franchise after the Iverson trade, something he might not have been totally up to the task of doing. Does anyone know if Dre and Iverson are on bad terms currently?

I feel like almost comparing Dre to the Dark Knight in that the casual audience is clamoring for a 20+ ppg scorer and not appreciating what they have in him.

I'm trying to avoid any political discussion with this.

interestingly enough, i spent the last few days putting in a little research in my downtime as to the exact reason iverson wanted out and the state of the sixers front office during this time. it never, for some reason, occurred to me that the two might not of had the best of friendships.

after iggy got out of his rookie and sophomore seasons, he seemed to have no problem getting his as he and webber were both around 14/16 a contest even with iverson doing his due diligence (hahaa).

i too saw the tweet and it kinda caught me off guard, if anyone has a definite as to their relationship, i’d too love to know the haps.

How do you make that assumption? I read that as a sarcastic comment about Obama.

Some guy at PSU Hershey Med Center just discovered a virus that eats cancer. Where were the CNN trucks for that? THON will probably break $10 mil this year. Put that on "Outside the Lines".

Never mind. I see it was Dre messaging Hawes.

Could’ve been Dre referencing Collins trying to clean up EJ’s crap. Could also (only) be a reference to Bush.

"If Iguodala were a legitimate "true" 17 PPG scorer, we’d be a better team. When at least 8 of those points come off the fast break, his true offensive production is a reality: 8-11 PPG." - LeQuan Glover

I’d rather have a bad leader than no leader. Find a way off the team, Iguodala.

we’re supposed to stick to non-political rhetoric, remember?
