Sixers plan to work out Elson, others
The link to my story (with Doug Collins video interview):

Here is a portion of the story:
The 7-foot Elson has logged 467 NBA games over eight years, averaging 3.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 15.4 minutes per game. He last appeared in 62 games with the Jazz last season, averaging 2.2 points and 1.9 rebounds.
“We are going to need some muscle,” Sixers coach Doug Collins said before Monday’s game against the Wizards. “We are very undersized right now.”

So is there cause for concern
that Hawes is risky for at least the next several weeks? both with the foot and his back?
