It was down for awhile but it has since been updated with the new CBA rules and signed contracts. Have fun everyone and enjoy.

Here's one from me that won't happen in a million years but that's the fun in it.

Why the hell would you put Dre in that trade? He’s the best player in that deal

I don’t know about giving up Vuc. Orlando would have to sweeten the pot a bit.

I think an unprotected first rounder for the 2013 draft would do it.

by Dpez71 on Jan 20, 2012 11:16 PM PST up reply actions

Why would THEY (the Thunder) do that?

Fire Johnson and hire Van Gundy - I'm telling you Thorn was smoking something when he let Van Gundy slip away in the night.

Adds just one more win to my much simpler trade ;)

I feel like the Sixers will definitly make a deal for a PF/C or a shooter possibly both

I think they will trade Noci’s expiring deal and a pick or 2 for a descent player that fits one of those rolls (but the that most likely has an extra year or 2 on his deal)

If anyone agrees with me, get cracking and see what you can come up with.

I’d do Noce and a 2nd for Jason Thompson. I feel like with the inability of Tony Battie and the health of Hawes it would be nice to get another young big man in here. Thompson is expiring so if they choose to let him go after the season they wouldn’t be taking on salary and the Kings have already stated they won’t resign him.

I looked at that too I was trying to figure away to add Garcia to it as well. Noci for both works in the machine but we’d surely have to give up another player or pick(s)

Anyone think Detriot is sick of Charlie enough to gives there 1st round pick in let’s say 2014? or the option to flip flop 1st rd picks 2014? They used their amnesty on Rip correct? Would anyone do it for if they were only to willing to give us a couple 2nd rounders say this years and next.

Or he & his contract just not worth it?

Would be remember as one of the worst trade ever made (for he Sixers obviously)

by apfan on Jan 21, 2012 12:00 PM PST up reply actions

I could see us dealing Noci’s expiring to the Bobcats for one of

Diaw
Thomas
Diop
White

And an exchange of pics either coming or going depending on which guy is moved

I’m assuming you would then trade Lou somewhere because there’s no point in having three point guards?

in this scenario, jodie leaves, turner starts, backup backcourt of miller/williams. lou is more of an off-guard who can handle the rock and run the offense to me and andre miller can also play off the ball and still be effective in certain situations so they could complement each other.

Depends how you feel about Favors’ future. It would certainly make the Sixers worse in the near future at least.

by yosoysean on Jan 22, 2012 12:48 PM PST up reply actions

not sure how to feel about favors really. honestly wanted him drafted over turner on draft night but definitely not an iggy-caliber return in trade for me

I would need picks as well, though I would love a Favors return.

by Michael Levin on Jan 22, 2012 3:24 PM PST up reply actions

I LOVE this trade. Derrick Favors has unlimited potential in this league, I would definitely trade Iguodala for him, as much as I love Iggy. The Sixers remain just as deep, get a little cheaper, get younger, and help out other teams too. Good work.

Noce, Meeks, +2 or 3 second rounders for Ray Allen

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7mgn8jl

The Celtics want to get younger but with Allen only having a 1 year deal but still commanding around $10 million why would a team bother giving up more than a first? Here it would allow them to get a young SG along with Noce’s expiring contract.

I think Ray Allen is a huge upgrade over Meeks. All those open looks that Meeks misses from beyond the arch I imagine Allen making. Defensively he isn’t much of a drop off from Meeks and maybe even better… You get him for 1 year without worrying about his play declining or blocking Turner in the future.

I like it. Not sure if Boston would like it. I suppose it falls under “something instead of nothing” but the something isn’t all that great.

by yosoysean on Jan 24, 2012 2:25 PM PST up reply actions

Yeah I’m sure not sure what they could really get for a guy making $10 million and expiring. Most of the teams that could use him don’t have the cap space and the ones he could fit on he’d never resign. If I’m Boston I’ve be happy to take what I can get without taking on salary unless you can get a young player in return. But like I said I see Ray Allen as a rental for a team to make noise in the playoffs and less a franchise piece this stage in his career.

@xEgan on Twitter

by xEgan on Jan 24, 2012 3:05 PM PST up reply actions

I’d love to have Ray either this year or next year as a FA.

Anyway we trade Noci’s expiring and take a chance on a guy like Tyrus Thomas, Amir Johnson, Boris Diaw, Charlie Villaneuva, type and get a pick or pick(s) in return? Those teams would be unloading bad deals and still have their amnesty clause so that if one of other current deals isn’t looking so hot they could still have their amnesty available to them.

Let’s say Howard did wanna come here and play I think we could stil find away to do it by amnesting Brand and giving Iggy away for a trade exception. I would only give Iggy away in a case where I would be signing a stud guy and I would consider Howard a stud, so I’d do it. Otherwise I’d want a MUCH better return. If this whole giving away Iggy and cutting Brand isn’t possible or doesn’t give us the amount of room need to bring a stud in then I don’t take a chance I the guys I mentioned earlier.

Is there an underachieving “bad contract bigman” out that Noci matches up with that you’d like them to take a chance on?
