Sixers president answers my question about new ownership group possibly blocking a proposed trade:

He answered a followup email wondering if that meant the new ownership has or hasn't nixed a proposed trade with this: "I'm not at liberty to comment on what the arrangements are between the perspective new owners and Mr. Snider."

With the lockout set to begin Friday morning at 12:01, teams would have to finalize a deal by late Thursday night or else have to wait until the lockout ends. Since the owners are looking for salary concessions from the players, this could be a lengthy one.
