In following the Clippers blogs, there seems to be a strong feeling on their end Igoudala will be Clipper by tomorrow night.  The deal being rumored on that site shapes up to involve multiple players and draft picks.  Mo Speezy may be West Coast bound as well if this is true, ...

The deal most recently discussed supposedly would look like this:

• Clippers get:  Iguodala, Speights and the 50th pick
• Sixers get:  Chris Kaman, Al Farouq Aminu, Wilie Warren and the 37th pick

My preference would be the following:

• Clippers get:  Iguodala, Speights, Meeks
• Sixers get:   Kaman, Eric Gordon and the 37th pick

Would you do either of these deals?

The best spin I can put on this trade is this.   Either way, with a lockout coming we won’t have to worry about Kaman being healthy as he’ll have plenty of rest.   When healthy he is a solid post up center and rebounder - which provides a big we need.  He also comes off the cap after just 1 year if we don’t resign him – meaning we’d free up a lot of cap money after next year.

If we get Eric Gordon as well, we upgrade over Jodie Meeks in size, shooting ability and defense.

If we get Aminu instead – we get an athletic player who can run the floor and rebound, with a lot of upside.   At 6’9” and only 20 years old … he may add enough weight to play the 4 by the team E. Brand’s contract is up.
