Greg Oden is a restricted free agent. He was the No. 1 pick in the 2007 draft, one spot ahead of Kevin Durant. When healthy, Oden is a terrific shot blocker and defensive center.

Given all of the factors, should Sixers' management consider the 23-year-old Oden?

No.

First of all, he's almost never healthy. Injuries, including microfracture knee surgery, have limited the 7-footer to one season's worth of games (82) in four years. He's missed two full seasons, including all of last year.
