How to make the Sixers a title contender during this offseason

Going into the offseason, it's been repeated far too many times that the Sixers need a center, need to trade Iguodala, and need to resign Thaddeus Young. I'm going to say something different. Bear with me here, but the Sixers need to let Thad go. Why? Because we trade Iguodala to Minnesota for the number two pick and draft Derrick Williams. Why not draft a center? Because by replacing Thad with Derrick Williams and trading Iguodala, the Sixers will have just cleared 12,921,138 dollars in cap space. That would put the Sixers roughly SEVENTEEN MILLION DOLLARS UNDER THE SALARY CAP! I repeat: SEVENTEEN MILLION DOLLARS UNDER THE SALARY CAP! Okay now what do we do with those seventeen million dollars? We have two options: 1. Save it for Dwight Howard OR 2. Sign Zach Randolph. Imagine this starting lineup: Jrue Holiday, Jodie Meeks (or ET) Derrick Williams, Elton Brand, Zach Randolph. It's a better starting lineup than the one we had before, we would have Lou, Turner and Hawes coming off the bench, AND we aren't capped out for the next three years. That's a playoff team that would play solid defense, offense, and rebound well. We address the problem of no star in Zach Randolph. That is a team that would win the atlantic easily with the decline of Boston and the next greatest power being the Knicks. That is a title contending team. I really hope this can happen somehow...
