Here is part of the Sunday afternoon blog:
Sixers president Rod Thorn confirmed Sunday that neither the Lakers nor any of the other teams looking for coaches has contacted the Sixers about Doug Collins.
Collins, 59, guided the Sixers to a 41-41 record and the playoffs one year after the team went 27-55 under Eddie Jordan. He finished second to the Bulls' Tom Thibodeau in NBA Coach of the Year balloting.
Those close to him say Collins, who spent his nine-year playing career as a Sixer, is thrilled by the Sixers' progress and the team's future.
