if there was justice it would be 2-2 going into game 5

Lou was truley bossin, jrue is infact the jruth. Evan not only made the jumper to start it off, he saved the ball from going out of bounds, AND the clutch threes, bust no more

by prideoux on Apr 24, 2011 12:41 PM PDT reply actions

lol just got off of work and posted up right in the bar. BOSS ice in his veins williams. and what a three by jrue on the possession before. awesome 4th quarter (thats all that i caught unfortunately).

Love what Turner has been bringing. I can’t wait to see him at this level and beyond for an entire season.

How many times have we lost close games this year!?!? Finally!!!

How fitting is it that ET hits the FTs to seal it. LOVE IT

I’m so happy we were able to at least get one game in this series, yay for development!!

I haven’t been this pumped after a win since they beat the Magic on that Thad layup two years ago.

Evan Turner = Future NBA MVP

by chillicothe20 on Apr 24, 2011 12:48 PM PDT up reply actions

I’m still stunned by those back to back three’s. First Jrue with the non-chalant sort of shot and than Lou with the ARE YOU KIDDING ME shot. ET sealing the game with the free throws was just icing on the cake.

by TwistyWristy on Apr 24, 2011 12:46 PM PDT reply actions

I expected Jrue to take a 3 there. Lou’s was definitely a oh no, WTF…YES! moment.

by JoshuaR on Apr 24, 2011 12:47 PM PDT up reply actions

I didn’t feel that way. What to lose? lol. I’m a Lou fan though.

by Matt3511 on Apr 24, 2011 3:01 PM PDT up reply actions

It had to do with the fact that there was plenty of time on the shot clock, they were down only 2 and it was not within the flow of the offense. Wanted him to drive the ball.

by JoshuaR on Apr 24, 2011 3:36 PM PDT up reply actions

They were actually only down by one, so I was also expecting him to drive the ball. I’m glad the three went in though.

by TwistyWristy on Apr 24, 2011 5:04 PM PDT up reply actions

True, thanks. Which is why I thought he would try to get to the rim.

It probably won’t happen but we’ve been with them every game except game 2 & the 2nd quarters, if we can fix the 2nd quarters we can make this a series again

by The Legend on Apr 24, 2011 12:50 PM PDT reply actions

What makes this game so great is that in just about all of the previous meetings against these guys and in most games in the season we’ve seen the Sixers lose the lead and the game.

Down 3-0 many teams would have mailed it in. I saw the Pacers Bulls game and I wanted the Sixers to do the same thing like the Pacers. Nobody gave the Pacers or sixers a chance but both teams prove everyone wrong this weekend. Im not saying Sixers can beat the Heat again, but this is just such a huge win.

Evan Turner showing signs of why we took him at #2, Holiday hit that big three. I can do 10 years of that duo doing their thing.

I'm tired of hearing about money, money, money, money, money. I just want to play the game, drink Pepsi, wear Reebok---Shaquille O'Neal

Doug was saying that he has some good players and the core of a real team. Even if they aren’t ready yet, they’re getting closer and some of these players will be on the team when it is a real contender.

by RickoT on Apr 24, 2011 9:11 PM PDT up reply actions

no question. Jrue and Evan figure to be fixtures in our future. Meeks and Thad are good role players for us. Andre and Brand are more like the bridges. Maybe Brackins can develop, and possibly we keep Hawes as a back-up.

elton's got ups

can we just take a moment to reflect on elton getting enough lift when we needed him most to block lebron’s shot at the end. the young kids and the vets all contribute. love it.

Yaaaaaaay we finally closed a close game! This is what we’ve been missing all year pretty much – pulling out the win in the waning moments. Good job to our boys – for those moments when we were making it happen, the announcers seemed like they were excited for us….of course they were just calling the game, but I can dream :-)

Glad to at least get a win for the home crowd tonite. Indiana avoided the sweep and we did the same, I’m happy :-)

by JKM-76- on Apr 24, 2011 1:10 PM PDT reply actions

Everybody made a big deal about Carmelo and the Knicks. If they get swept, we did better than them against a better seed. HA HA

I just want to throw in the joy I have that we ruined the (slim) hope that this supposed juggernaut could run the table on the playoffs.

Also, Evan Turner showed more and more flashes that he can be a star. Let’s run and offense through him next year and see what happens.

ALSO FINALLY someone (Thad) showed some fight by bumping heads and Hawes with the hard foul on LeFraud. I’ve been saying we should’ve been banging and getting T’s and flagrants here and there to throw them off.

its 6:00am here in australia

guys, guys… its been an absolute pleasure reading everyones comments for the last couple of years. never felt the need to comment until now – you cannot imagine how satisfying it is to watch our young sixers win against all adversity albeit a single 2010-2011 playoff with, thus far.

as a sixers fan since the barkley/dawkins/gilliam/hawkins/bol/anderson/charles shakerlford (hahaha) era ive endured way too much heartache.

this win give me hope for the future – i thought weatherspoon was going to be our saviour back in the day, but TURNER is going to walk on water and turn GARBAGE INTO GOLD! LOCK ALL WINDOWS AND DOORS – TURNER IS CLUTCH!

happy easter everyone!!!

even if our sixers get reamed next game, for some reason, i could not care so much because of this win (i thought they would get swept).

guys, i havent felt this good since NIKE brought out the barkley 180s!

Evan with huge plays, capped by a nice pull-up to answer Wade’s dunk and 2 free-throws to clinch it (come a long way from the Wizards game earlier). Lou shut up the haters and had a huge 4th and a ridiculous game winner! Jrue with a Chauncey-esque 3 in Wade’s face! Brand swats LeBrick outta there! What an amazing day to be a Sixer fan. Win or lose next game I don’t care! This team’s heart and desire is unprecedented, and I’m so proud of them.
