The 41-41 Sixers recorded a 14-game improvement from last year's 27-win team (the second-highest total in the league, behind only the NBA-leading Bulls) and nearly had their first winning season since 2004-05.
"Nobody picked us to get in the playoffs," Collins said. "It's like we slipped into Death Valley or something. We had a very, very good regular season. I'm not going to let this little bump in the road here at the end take anything away from that."
