TBJ - Are You Smarter Than an NBA Blogger?

Friend of Liberty Ballers Andrew Unterberger (of The Basketball Jones and The 700 Level) decided to do a basketball version of the Village Voice series surveying the intelligence of NBA bloggers. He asked 16 NBA bloggers six questions and had faith in the honor code that said bloggers wouldn't go running to the interwebs for answers.

I was one of the interviewees (I have knowledge that the one and only Seth Rosenthal was also one) and am proud to say that I answered a number of these questions quite incorrectly. Andrew's got the great article up at TBJ and I implore you to check it out and see what you would've gotten right or wrong.

Andrew promised anonymity, but I think you guys have a right to know all of my flaws (I also have allergies!) so I'm posting the questions and my answers after the jump -- even the wrongies.

1. Players on Lineup of Original 1992 Dream Team (12 Answers)

Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Magic Johnson, John Stockton, Karl Malone, Larry Johnson (WRONG - Chris Mullin), Scottie Pippen, Clyde Drexler, Christian Laettner, David Robinson, Patrick Ewing

This was the one people did the best on. It gets worse.

2. Players Involved in This Year's Mid-Season Knicks/Nuggets/Timberwolves Three-Team Trade (13 Answers)

Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Melvin Ely, Corey Brewer, Danilo Gallinari, Eddy Curry, Raymond Felton, Timofey Mozgov, Wilson Chandler

I missed the last three of Renaldo Balkman, Anthony Carter, and Kosta Koufos. Should've gotten at least two of those.

3. Franchises the Kobe Bryant-Era Lakers Have Defeated in the Western Conference Finals (6 Answers)

Here's a quote from Andrew from the article:

"Number of Writers Who Misunderstood the Question and Incorrectly Guessed a Bunch of Eastern Conference Teams: 1"

That was me. Assail me with insults.

4. Future All-Star Players Selected in the Legendary 2003 Draft (8 Answers)

LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, Mo Williams, Dwyane Wade, Pau Gasol, Andrei Kirilenko, Manu Ginobili (WRONG - Chris Kaman, Josh Howard, David West)

I just started guessing international dudes.

5. Players Suspended Due to Involvement in the 2004 Pacers-Pistons Brawl (9 Answers)

Considering I remember where I was and what I was yelling while watching this game, I feel like I should've gotten more right. I didn't.

Ron Artest, Jermaine O'Neal, Jamaal Tinsley, Chauncey Billups, Rasheed Wallace, Ben Wallace, Jeff Foster, Rip Hamilton (WRONG - Elden Campbell (!), Derrick Coleman, Stephen Jackson, Anthony Johnson, Reggie Miller)

6. Franchises Besides the Celtics and Lakers to Win Championships in the 60s, 70s or 80s (8 Answers)

Philadelphia 76ers, Houston Rockets, Portland Trailblazers, New York Knicks, Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers (WRONG - Washington Bullets, Seattle Supersonics)

So when you put it all together, including the poor reading comprehension, I got 35 of the 56 answers correct. That's pretty awful. Hopefully Andrew does another one of these so I feel less terrible about myself and my memory.

What anonymity?!
