Thad - to sign or not to sign

Say after CBA discussions are finalized and the attention is turned to signing players...

What do you think is a reasonable contract for Thad? Don't look at it from a game-by-game analysis like some of us do (you know who you are). Rather, think about his performance this season.

A couple of stats to throw out, which may be helpful (unless of course you judge with your eyes and ignore things you don't understand):

28.2 Min
12.4 PPG
50.6% FG
4.9 rebounds
6.3 rebounds/36 min
13.1 Drb%
52.5% eFG
54.9% TS
15.9 PER
.103 Win/48min

These numbers are in a vacuum, but feel free to use the baketball reference player comparison.

Some thoughts after the quote-unquote jump:

I think of Thad as being effective off the bench due to his size and skill set. He is one of the most difficult tweeners to stop in the league, if the offense puts him in the right spot. He's quick, has a good first step, and finishes well around the rim. His man-on-man defense is not so great. In the past, he's been known to not rotate quickly enough (or not rotate altogether). A certain sixers vs. celtics game with a Ray Allen buzzer beater comes to mind...
I'm not really sure what his upside is, or if he's reached his plateau. I don't really ever see him being a rebounder. I don't see him being a starter because he can't guard some of the bigger PF's.

Anywho, If the sixers can sign him for five years and about 40 million I'd be pretty happy. You all are more than welcome to give your two cents or more, depending on your accumulated wealth.
