Regular Season recap for the Liberty Ballers Fantasy League
The regular season in our absurdly deep fantasy league has ended, and the playoffs start today. The Wall Flowers, headed by brad and bolstered by 26 heads-up moves over the course of the season, came in first in the Hersey Hawkins Conference and first in the league with a sterling 104-49-7 record. The team was led by Kevin Love and John Wall, both great picks given that the came at the low price of just $27 each at draft time. My own team, the Jruish Stars (headlined by Steve Nash, Dwight Howard, and Chris Bosh), won the Dana Barros Conference at 94-59-7, although Tanner's Free the Jrues II finished with a better record. However, he was unfortunate enough to be the same conference as The Wall Flowers. Strangely enough, by the way, all three teams that punned on the Jrue/Jew quasi-homophones finished in the league's top 4. So I guess Jews really do rule the world?
At the other end of the Spectrum, at a stunning 32 games behind the second-worst team, was P-Ride OUX (Nick), with a dismal 28-132-0 record. This has got to be some kind of futility record, maybe on par with this year's Cavs or maybe even the '73 Sixers for terribility (that's a word, right?)
Post any season highlights that I missed, or any trash talk, in the comments.
