Will the Sixers reach .500 before the end of the season? If they do, Eastern Conference loyalists (they do exist! trust me!) will have some ammo against whiners in Houston, Portland and/or Memphis who complain about continental imbalance. Doug Collins has the Philly shot defense at No. 10 in the league. Imagine if he still had Samuel Dalembert.

Kurt Helin, PBT - 16th (7th in East)

How much would you pay to keep Thaddeus Young with the team this summer? He's a restricted free agent that should draw some interest.

Philadelphia is still within arm's reach of the Knicks for the sixth seed in the East. So far the Sixers have taken two of three from NY.

Composite: 16th (6.4 in East)

Bonus: According to Basketball Reference's Wins Pythagorean the Sixers should be 26-24 instead of 23-27.

We have achieved true mediocrity. I am proud of us. I do hope we finish at exactly 41-41. That would be an absolutely perfect way for this particular season to end. I believe in the power of a good metaphor.

I honestly don’t know if I can even name 16 other rookies that would be in front of Turner. To say he is the 17th best rookie is completely ridiculous. If all you do is look at his numbers and that’s what your going by, (which they obviously are) fine. If this piss ant knew anything about the sixers this year he would know that Turner is kept on a short leash and has not ample opportunity to produce better numbers like a lot of other rookies on bad teams. But if you know a damn thing about basketball and have watched Turner actually play on a number of occasions this year you would know that A) he isn’t the 17th freaking best rookie and B) Turner has an all-around game and is going to be a really good player.
I’m sorry for yelling. But I’m serious!

I had to go look at it....

Its BS – he has guys like Asik,G Vazquez, Patterson, Paul George that I would dispute. Even Manny Harris is ahead of him (decent stats but on an historically bad team). I also would dispute Aminu but hey….

So that would be like 11th.

I hate how the Lakers are attempting to trade for Melo yet the Sixers are stuck in the depths of hell without any form of relief besides Jrue and his fruity pebbles.
