Story: Stefanski won't return as GM
(with video interviews)
Here is part of the story from Wednesday's paper:
Stefanski spent just under four years with the Sixers, the first 2 1/2 of which were as team president after succeeding Billy King. Rod Thorn replaced him on Aug. 12, 2010, with Stefanski being demoted to GM. The two worked together in the same roles with the Nets when New Jersey made consecutive NBA Finals appearances.
Harris said the Sixers don’t need “two people well-qualified to do the job,” which led to Stefanski’s departure and the more experienced Thorn staying to run the basketball end. Harris said Stefanski won’t be replaced.
Reached Tuesday afternoon on his cell phone, Stefanski declined to discuss his tenure with the Sixers.

"THE TIME TO WIN IS NOW" - Coach Hue Jackson
Raider Nation, all hand's on deck or get the hell off the ship! That's the way it's gonna be around here from now on! If a 7th & 5th round pick gets you Aaron Curry (a former 4th overall 1st rd. pick) instead of a couple of crap-shoots a year later, then fine and if dealing away a couple of first rounder's gets you a proven franchise quarterback like Carson Palmer and a legitimate shot at the playoffs, then great, you know why? Because your team is standing behind it's motto & legacy, which is "Just Win Baby!" and "Commit to Excellence" which is the furthest thing from "Suck for Luck" and "Give Up". Imagine if you were a fan of a team that actually bought into that!?!
Cheers,
- Saint
