To sum it up:

1)Denver gets as close to "equal" value as they can possibly get for Melo. Better than the players the Knicks are offering

2)Philly gets a star to put butts in the seats the rest of the season with the worst attendance in the NBA

3)If Melo re-signs long term, GOLD! If he decided to go to Free Agency at the end of the season, that's too bad, but we've still gotten rid of the Iggy contract and can build around Jrue and ET.

All sounds pretty logical to me. I think Philly could even throw in a draft pick if needed.
