With the way Coach K talked about him its not a surprise that AI9 made it.

AI9 tried playing like he did last year as a 76er and fell flat on his face. However, other than Sunday, he has been one of the best on the floor. Love seeing him set up Durant and others for dime! He looks very good out there normally.

Congrats AI9

By my count

Chandler is the only center. This is a real small-ball team. I guess moving KD to the 4 and Odom as well, making Love a 5. Couldn’t they get any big men to play? By my count there are 4 point guards, 3 SGs, 4 SFs, 1 PF and 1 C. What the heck is that all about?

It turns out I overestimated my apathy, but not enough to matter.

Yeah, if you want to count Lamar as a SF. He’s quite capable of playing PF.

A lot of the “stars,” like Amare, for example, bagged out. Brook Lopez had mono, so he had to quit. Coach K seems fine with an undersized team. You should be confident in Coach K’s decision, because he’s cool enough to have his last name reduced to one letter.

This isn’t the NBA, most international teams don’t have big centers either! And you can bet that if any of them could play, they’d be in the NBA already.

It’s more about getting used to the way the game is called and how the team should attack on offense and the best way for them to defend within the rules. The other thing is for them to get used to each other and how to help each other be successful.

I’d like to see Andre be a bit more aggressive in trying to make things happen. He can learn a lot by watching Durant. It’s great to be an all-around player, but my biggest complaint about Andre is that he isn’t aggressive enough with the ball to be a number one scorer, but he looks like he has the physical skills. If he really wants to be an all-star and justify his top 5 ranking as a small forward, he’s going to have to score more and elevate his shooting percentage.

Odom by the way is 6’10". He can play Center as well as PF and SF, on most teams he’d be a PF. Only in LA are there enough tall men, to push him down to SF.

So if all of the european teams had “tall” centers, they would automatically be NBA-level? Tall doesn’t necessarily translate into NBA player. Most basketball fans should already know this, but I am more than convinced that you are cut from a different breed, ricko.

Europeans don’t have tall centers. Gasol, he’s a short center. Vlade, he was 7’1, but he played on his knees in europe to fit the trend. I’m sure there are plenty of other short centers who I’m forgetting right now. I haven’t had my coffee yet.

It turns out I overestimated my apathy, but not enough to matter.

Sabonis. Can’t believe I mentioned Vlade and forgot Sabonis. Right after I hit post too.

The NBA is always looking for quality big man, and even spazz’s get a look. Remember Ewe Blap!?

If they are NBA quality, a team is already after them! If you haven’t heard of them, it’s because they really suck!

Also, none of you can read. I said International teams. The NBA’s reach is world-wide and some of the best centers were foreigners like Akeem Olajuwon.

Look at the rosters for the World Championship and tell me which big name Centers we have to worry about!
