I take back what I said about the FOs inactivity…..I was wrong.

Let me just say, if this is anything more than league min, it’ll be awful.

Agreed, though I am so excited to get a nets castoff. We are moving up and getting better!

Philly born and raised with plenty of Orange in my blood!

They could’ve done so much better. Battie is a worse rebonding than Spencer Hawes.

Well clearly they don’t value rebounding considering the Hawes/Noc for Sammy trade.

Looking forward to the Kevin Kolb era.

Look out Miami, here comes the Battie-ram!

I was one of those guys screaming Sammy needed to go.
I will give Hawes a shot, he’s on the Sixers now so I am hopeful he progresses into a better defender to compliment the offensive skills he’s flashed.
Tony Battie is an upgrade over Jason Smith as everyone here agrees there is a shortfall in the big man minutes area.
How many minutes do the conceivably think Tony Battie will give them?
I checked earlier he was making over 6 mil and played around 130 minutes TOTAL all last year on a poor team.
So roughly (and I’m close) he made $46 K per minute played!
He registered 36 points and 19 defensive rebounds ALL SEASON!
So he made an estimated $315,000 per defensive rebound last year.
I really hope this isn’t the roster on opening tip off.
I miss Sammy.

I hate these people. Seriously. They couldn’t have invited some young guy to camp if they wanted someone tall as a practice body? I’d rather they picked up Trent Plaisted than Tony Battie. And I in no way wanted them to sign Trent Plaisted. But at least he has a little unmined potential somewhere in there.

Ah…the sour sweat-and-bleach scent of Basketball Sense wafts over us once again…

Now there’s something we’ll never see in Philadelphia until Comcast sells the Sixers.
