Great day for the Sixers, Billy King is back in the league!
When the news broke this afternoon that Billy King will now run the NJ Nets organization, the first thought that came to my mind was who does he want off the Sixers roster? Many former executives/coaches like to bring to firmiliar people around them, especially early on with their new position. I remember a few years ago after Jim O'Brien was let go by the Sixer Oranization, stating (King) that he overvalued his young prospects with the team. We know there are several players who are still on the sixers roster that Billy King drafted. Will we see a minor or major trade take place in the next coming weeks with the NJ Nets? The likes of Lou Williams, Willie Green, his last draft class in Young, Smith or possiblly Andre could be in play. Who would the Sixers want to target on their roster? Derrick Favors! I heard before free agency started, Favors was drafted more for an attractive tradable asset, who knows if they could pry him away from them. If they want immediate success with their new regime, they may decide to deal him and take Andre's contract off our hands in the process. Maybe just wishful thinking in my part, but something to watch the next coming weeks.

WIllie Green has a very attractive expiring contract that the Russian Genius might want so he can clear cap space for whichever high-end free agent doesn’t want to come play for the Nyets. Combine that with Lou Williams and his exciting brand of instant offense (snork), and I think there’s a deal to be made. Get me Billy on the phone!
