I believe Speights is playing too, right?

by Jordan Sams on Jun 28, 2010 7:20 PM PDT reply actions

He is going to practice with them and may play in a couple

I thought Meeks was supposed to be on the team?

I read somewhere that Aaron McKie and Brian James were going to be the coaches

by The Legend on Jun 28, 2010 7:20 PM PDT reply actions

I will be very disappointed in Speights if he doesn’t play, and if eligible, I’ll be a little pissed at Thaddeus young and hawes as well.

by jemagee on Jun 28, 2010 7:58 PM PDT reply actions

Only 3 active players can be on a team. Not sure exactly how M16 fits in but Thad is definitely not playing.

That's not true.

I write about basketball players with Ridiculous Upside. I know you'll love it.

Is there any limitation to ‘years in the league’ like the NBDL?

by jemagee on Jun 29, 2010 7:35 AM PDT up reply actions

No, Amare and Artest were in the SL well into their careers.

by Jordan Sams on Jun 29, 2010 7:46 AM PDT up reply actions

So there’s no excuse for

Speights
Young
Hawes

not being on the summer league team except their own ego, selfishness, lack of team unity, whatever yo uwant to call it, but they should be there.

Course none of those things can be true – cause as we all know – the locker room discord last year was all sam

by jemagee on Jun 29, 2010 7:48 AM PDT up reply actions

Max 3 active-roster players. So not all three, if Jrue is going to be there. And if they’re talking about Meeks being there, probably one of those three. And rumor has it it’s going to be Speights.

by dweebowitz on Jun 29, 2010 9:44 AM PDT up reply actions

Well dean said max 3 active roster players

And Scott said that’s not true

I trust scott more than I trust Dean

by jemagee on Jun 29, 2010 9:53 AM PDT up reply actions

Yeah, the Bucks had more than 3 last year I believe.

by Jordan Sams on Jun 29, 2010 10:11 AM PDT up reply actions

I counted 4 – i figured you’d know the names better than me

by jemagee on Jun 29, 2010 11:12 AM PDT up reply actions

meeks, jennings, mbah a mounte, alexander, johnson … unless they don’t count rookies and/or second round picks.

then it would just be mbah a monte, alexander, johnson.

by Jordan Sams on Jun 29, 2010 11:20 AM PDT up reply actions

If rookies don’t count – then turner doesn’t count on the sixers roster so right now they’d have room for two if the ‘3 only’ is true

Speights
Young
Hawes
Meeks

order of preference

by jemagee on Jun 29, 2010 11:25 AM PDT up reply actions

Of the four, Young is the least likely.

I’d like to see all four go.

by Jordan Sams on Jun 29, 2010 11:36 AM PDT up reply actions

Not sure about this “only 3” rule, but you already have Holiday and Meeks. Only 3 of those could go.

by Derek Bodner on Jun 29, 2010 7:09 PM PDT up reply actions

I keep forgetting meeks hoping that the sixers will too

it keeps failing

by jemagee on Jun 29, 2010 8:32 PM PDT up reply actions

No. No. No. No. No!

Meeks will not become the next Willie Green.

Jodilicious is my man. Yeah I love bench scrubs. First time I saw him play, was against tennesee in 08/09 and he lit them up big time. That’s when I said “I want that kid to be a Sixer”.

by briztoon on Jul 1, 2010 12:25 PM PDT up reply actions

Maybe Rookies like Turner do not count as being on the active roster because he isn’t even signed yet….

by Howardmgm3 on Jun 29, 2010 10:22 AM PDT up reply actions

I’m pretty sure I heard both Stefanski and Collins say that Meeks is going to be down there on one of there radio interviews.

by The Legend on Jun 28, 2010 10:58 PM PDT up reply actions

At least we get our own team

and happy to see Brooks. Go Owls!!!

Evan Turner = Future NBA MVP
