Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Nocioni's reaction to the trade from his website (translated)

This was posted in Noce's website today.

Today the trade I was looking for for a while now came true. As I said before, the guys in Sacramento and I had been talking about the possibility of a trade and how if there was a way to get it done, we were going to take it.

I'm a Sixer now and this is the beginning of a new chapter for me in the NBA.

I knew there was a chance this would happen, with all the rumors flying around, but I was surprised it did at this time, before the draft and free agency.

The point of all this for me is to improve from what I did last season.

Today I got a call from the Sixers GM to welcome me. He told me that they liked having me around and that I wasn't just a throw in or some random player, but someone they wanted to have on their team. They told me they want to give me the freedom to play my own way, and I can't tell you how reassuring it is to hear that from the get go. Hopefully I'll feel as comfortable as I did on Chicago.

Right now I feel optimistic about the trade and everything it entails. In the next few days, probably Sunday, I will travel to Philadelphia to get my physical and then I'll come back to continue training. I'm exited about the prospect of playing in Philly, it's a big challenge and hopefully it will mark the beginning of a new chapter in my career.

At the moment I'm training on my own, doing a personalized training regime and some weight lifting with the goal of getting to the World Championship in the best shape possible. I've been working out for over a month now and I'll continue working out until July 25th, the day the National Team's training starts.

I just wanted to check in and thank you all for your support.

That's it. Translating is not an exact science so feel free to ask if you have any doubts about anything.

Thanks for doing that.

You probably want to revisit the translation on this part: “I’m exited about the idea of playing in Philly”.

Good stuff man, I think the translation was terrific.

I’m just glad he didn’t say anything about starting. He makes Jason Kapono about as useless as a fourth penis.

Geometrically it doesn’t work. I’ve done research.

Oh! You mean at the same time?

I use mine one after another. Like staggered gunfire.

There can only be one Noce!

But if you use them one after another, then the appeal of having four is lost.

Although I like the staggered gunfire metaphor.

Too true. Have you tried pancake-ing them?

You know stacking the women on top of each other then angling all four penises at 0, 45, 90 and 135 degrees?

There can only be one Noce!

by NoceOne on Jun 18, 2010 8:31 PM PDT up reply actions

Then you have to deal with back problems for the one on the bottom, and possibly head trauma if she’s not angled incorrectly. That’s why I’ve strategically chosen 4 parts of my body to place them: Left knee, right hip, left bicep and, of course, my mouth. It’s foolproof.

Jason Kapono has uses?

I was thinking about that , is it still to late for Kapono to opt out? I doubt he does but there could be a better chance now that there is no playing time for him.

He’s getting paid 6 mil. He’s not opting out of anything even if he rides the bench all season.

Good job translating. Makes much more sense than my version. My attempt at a translation was this:

I would give you the stars in the sky, but they’re too far away. If you were you are a hooker you’d know I’d be happy to pay. If suddenly you were a guy, I’d be suddenly gay. Cause my heart belongs to you. My love is pure and true. My heart belongs to you, but my cock is community property.

The REAL trade was:

Dalembert for Hawes, Nocioni, NoceOne and Chapu4you.

Have fun BALLERZ!
