My Favorite Players Drafted by the 76ers
So the draft is coming up and I got the wondering: What if there was a team consisting of players drafted by the Sixers? Well I went to Sixers. com to do some research of who was drafted by the Sixers and:
Starting 5
SF Billy Cunningham
PF Charles Barkley
C Darryl Dawkins
One problem I came across was that the Sixers have not drafted any Hall of Famers at the center position. Really, I don't know too many of those centers drafted by them. This also goes for the point guard position. Maurice Cheeks was their best point guard they drafted. You could argue that Hal Greer was, but I feel Greer was more of a shooting guard than point guard. Billy won the championship as a player and a coach. Both championships were with the Sixers! You gotta love that, right? Charles, Charles, Charles. For his body you would think that was not as athletic as he was. Glen Davis reminds me of him. Big bodies with impossible athleticism. And I love his personality as well. Some people have put Dawkins as a forward but I'm going to slot him for center. He did have the body to be one.
Bench
SG Hal Greer (The franchise's first draft star)
SG Andrew Toney (How else will we be able to stop Boston?)
SF Andre Iguodala (We need some highlight dunks from the bench)
C Shawn Bradley (One of the tallest players to play the game)
PG Jrue Holiday (Because no other team has the Jruth)
Um...I don't really have any other favorite players. But maybe you do. What's your dream team?

If someone had all the time in the world on their hands (probably just a couple of hours), it would be interesting to see the top player for each position drafted by every team. Endless debates could ensue.
